In this new decade of 2020, as I draw a little closer to beginning my seventh one on planet earth, I am processing with intentionality. I’ve had a lot of growth spurts and each came with growing pains. Loss and regeneration. Despair and hope. My fallibility hidden in Christ’s sufficiency.
Over these many years, my seedling of faith has grown into a pretty sturdy oak as the roots go deeper and the fruit grows sweeter. I identify with that Proverbs 31 chick who can “laugh at the days to come.” I used to think it meant life would get easier. Now I’m really laughing. I know it means my trust is unshakable in my fabulous Father in spite of whatever. And rest assured – whatever will happen!
You can follow me into your next decade…maybe you’ll avoid some of my big gaffes. Be kind. Love well. It’s the Jesus way.
